"Enomeni" (joined together, united)

Enomeni Dance Academy is a joint venture between our Hamilton parishes Panagia and St. Demetrios. The effort is to combine and create one dance academy for our Greek School-aged students (4-13 years of age), while still keeping intact individual dance programs at the respective churches.

Each community will still have the same Greek School Dance practice hours. St. Demetrios on Tuesdays, 6-7pm. Panagia on Saturdays immediately following Greek school. Both communities will be taught the same dances. Once every 2 months we will gather as one group (Enomeni). Locations between parishes will happen on a rotating basis, and both parish dance programs will practice together (see upcoming events tab).

This will allow children from both communities to get to know one another. Our goal is to eventually perform together at events both in and outside of our community, and perhaps even create joint events like a Greek School year end celebration where Enomeni could perform.
Our Story
Over the years, many people within both parishes have worked very hard to try and build a bridge between our two communities in order to start a foundation of togetherness and belonging. With the church and our Greek School programs as the backbone of this effort, we believe we can fulfill the efforts made by community leaders of the past.
It is time to build.
